|Wang Yi on the Kashmir Issue: Hope to See the Dispute Effectively Managed|
On September 27, 2019 local time, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the General Debate of the 74th Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly at the UN headquarters in New York.
In his speech, Wang Yi said, the Kashmir issue, a dispute left from the past, should be peacefully and properly addressed in accordance with the UN Charter, Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreement. No actions that would unilaterally change the status quo should be taken. As a neighbor of both India and Pakistan, China hopes to see the dispute effectively managed and stability restored to the relationship between the two sides.
